Tool reference

Workflow operations, execution inspection, and optional authoring tools.

Core product tools

ToolPurposeScope
innflow_list_workflowsSearch and paginate accessible workflowsmcp:read
innflow_get_workflowInspect summary, full graph, or selected node configurationsmcp:read
innflow_run_workflowExecute a deployed workflowmcp:execute
innflow_deploy_workflowActivate a workflow and its triggersmcp:manage
innflow_undeploy_workflowStop new triggers; does not cancel existing runsmcp:manage
innflow_list_executionsList workflow runsmcp:read
innflow_get_executionInspect execution status and resultmcp:read
innflow_get_execution_logsRead paginated node log metadatamcp:read
innflow_get_execution_payloadRetrieve input/output evidence for a logmcp:read
innflow_get_operationFollow an asynchronous operationmcp:read

Discover tools from the connected server to obtain the actual input schemas for that deployment. Start with summaries when polling, then retrieve logs and payloads as needed.

Example: find and inspect a workflow

Call innflow_list_workflows with a search term:

{
  "search": "Support triage",
  "page": 1,
  "pageSize": 20
}

Use an ID returned by that call with innflow_get_workflow. Select view: "full" when you need the graph; retain its revision before editing or deploying.

Writes and retries

Run and deployment calls accept an idempotencyKey. Use a new key for a new intended action and reuse it only when retrying that same action. Preserve it when the outcome is uncertain.

For a workflow with multiple eligible entry points, supply the intended triggerNodeId when running it. An accepted run is not a completed run: follow its executionId. A pending deployment operation must be followed with innflow_get_operation.

Authoring preview

Gated preview

The following tools require MCP_ENABLE_AUTHORING=true on the MCP service and compatible application. Authoring is not assumed to be enabled on the hosted service.
ToolPurpose
innflow_get_contextInspect workspace authoring context
innflow_search_node_typesFind available node definitions
innflow_get_node_schemaRead a node's configuration schema
innflow_list_connectionsFind accessible connections
innflow_list_node_optionsResolve dynamic configuration options
innflow_create_workflowCreate an empty draft
innflow_patch_workflowApply graph changes
innflow_configure_triggerConfigure a workflow entry point
innflow_validate_workflowCheck the workflow before deployment

Creating or patching a draft does not deploy or execute it. Validation, deployment, and execution are separate operations.
