Browser Automation
Run interactive, multi-step browser tasks with Browser Agent
The Browser Agent node opens a real cloud browser, navigates to a public website, and uses Stagehand to complete a task written in plain language. Browser sessions run on Browserbase and return a session link for replay and debugging.
Use Browser Agent when a workflow needs to interact with a website—for example, navigating between pages, clicking controls, or collecting information after several steps. For simple read-only page extraction, use Firecrawl instead.
Browser Agent is a premium node. Innflow manages the Browserbase connection, so you do not need to add a Browserbase credential or project ID to your workspace.
Configure the node
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Variable name | Name used to reference the browser result in later nodes. Defaults to browserResult. |
| Starting URL | Public HTTP or HTTPS page where the browser should begin. Supports template variables. |
| Task | One clear instruction for the browser agent. Supports template variables. |
| Max steps | Maximum number of browser-agent actions before the run stops, from 1 to 20. Defaults to 20. |
Keep the task specific and describe the completion condition. For example:
Open the pricing page, find the Pro plan, and return its monthly price. You can make the URL or task dynamic with values from earlier nodes:
Find the support policy for {{company.output.productName}} and summarize the return window. What happens during a run
Innflow starts a browser session
The node creates a fresh Browserbase session for this execution.
The browser opens the starting URL
The URL must be publicly reachable and use HTTP or HTTPS.
Stagehand completes the task
The agent can navigate and interact with the site until it completes the instruction or reaches the configured step limit.
Innflow stores the result
The node returns the task result, provider and usage details, and the complete Browserbase session URL. The browser session is then closed.
Output
The Browser Agent result includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
success | Whether Stagehand reported a successful run. |
completed | Whether the agent completed the instruction. |
message | The agent's final result or explanation. |
actionsTaken | Number of browser actions performed. |
finalUrl | Page URL open when the task finished. |
sessionId | Browserbase session identifier. |
sessionUrl | Complete Browserbase session and replay URL. |
providers | Browserbase, Stagehand, and model attribution. |
usage | Browser session duration plus Stagehand action, token, cache, and inference usage. |
Use the variable picker to insert any of these fields into a downstream node. With the default variable name, the final response is available as {{browserResult.message}} and the replay link as {{browserResult.sessionUrl}}.
Sessions and replay
Every node execution uses a fresh browser session. Open the returned sessionUrl to inspect the run in Browserbase. Innflow currently returns this link in the node output; replay and browser logs are not yet embedded in Innflow's execution details.
Security and limits
- Starting URLs must use HTTP or HTTPS.
- Localhost, private network addresses, and internal hostnames are rejected.
- The session closes after the node finishes or fails.
- A single run can perform at most 20 agent actions.
- Browser Agent does not currently reuse saved logins or browser sessions between executions.
- Proxies, Verified sessions, and manual live-browser handoff are not currently configurable from this node.
Avoid asking the browser to submit destructive or irreversible actions unless the workflow includes an explicit review step. A site can also change its interface or block automation, so test important workflows against the pages they will use.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Starting URL is rejected | Confirm it is a public http:// or https:// URL and not a local or private network address. |
| The task reaches the step limit | Make the task more focused, start closer to the target page, or raise Max steps up to 20. |
| The site blocks the browser | The target may require anti-bot features that are not configurable in the current node. Try a less protected source or a read-only data integration. |
| The run fails after opening a session | Open the complete session URL included in the error or node output to inspect the replay. |
| A quota error appears | The Browserbase or model usage allowance may be exhausted. Contact your workspace administrator or Innflow support. |
